Follow up went great. I was finally able to get the dressings off! Doctor said I look great, and I can start testing out soft foods to see how I tolerate them. Down 15lbs since surgery.

Arch-Emesis

Found this bad boy in my stuff. They didnโ€™t tell me how important this thing would be right after surgery. I experienced โ€œstomach swellingโ€ it happens to some patients right after surgery where the stomach seals shut from the trauma.
I couldnโ€™t keep anything down not even my meds. It was horrible! I had one of these emesis bags sitting with me my whole stay at the hospital. They were worried about my hydration levels and if I was going to do well after I was discharged. I could barely do 2 oz. before I was released.
Iโ€™m so glad that storm passed. I am flying through this full liquid phase with no issues at all. Getting in all my fluids and protein. Follow up is Tuesday. Canโ€™t wait to see what the doctor says
