Follow up went great.๐ I was finally able to get the dressings off! Doctor said I look great, and I can start testing out soft foods to see how I tolerate them.๐ Down 15lbs since surgery. ๐ช๐ฝ

๐คขArch-Emesis๐คฎ
Found this bad boy in my stuff. They didn’t tell me how important this thing would be right after surgery. I experienced “stomach swelling” it happens to some patients right after surgery where the stomach seals shut from the trauma.
I couldn’t keep anything down not even my meds. It was horrible! I had one of these emesis bags sitting with me my whole stay at the hospital. They were worried about my hydration levels and if I was going to do well after I was discharged. I could barely do 2 oz. before I was released.
I’m so glad that storm passed. I am flying through this full liquid phase with no issues at all. Getting in all my fluids and protein. Follow up is Tuesday. Can’t wait to see what the doctor says๐

The Walking Board:
1st day post op I was last on the board. I hadn’t walked any laps. But day 2 came around and I refused to be anything but the leader. On discharge day I walked 6 laps around the floor and I was leading the board. Patient Room 22….that’s me๐ช๐ฝ
