Marriage

20 Years! We’ve been together since I was 16 years old. We married young in 2004, I was 19 and he was 22 . Like all relationships we have our ups and downs but it’s the special bond that we share that keeps the ball rolling. This surgery was very important for me in regards to my marriage. It has improved how I see myself as a wife, how I carry myself as a wife, and how important my role as a wife is. You never really know how your emotions can affect those close to you. Prior to surgery I lived in a false reality of happiness. My heart was numb to life, marriage, family etc; This surgery gave me the exact reset I never knew I needed.

You never really know how your emotions can affect those close to you

I was terrified to go through this surgery because I didn’t know what the outcome would be. January 29th, 2020, I opened my eyes with a new purpose. You were standing right there like always. This man was so strong for our family during this whole ordeal. I could not be more proud of a wife for everything he is for me. I didn’t think we would survive the recovery stage because we had so much other life going on. It was a new experience and a very stressful one. You are tested, and tried in so many different ways.

You Change!

You learn to love doing things you hate.

You learn to forgive.

You learn to live.

Love is when another person’s happiness is as equally important as your own

He’s her Rock

She’s his balance

I want to be your peace in this messy chaotic world

Black Love is a beautiful thing

Nobody taught us how to do this love thing but somehow we are figuring it out. You’d be amazed at some of the trials this relationship has gone through. But, like always we bounce back. After spending over half your life with a person, you realize that LOVE is not a word to be taken lightly.
